Welcome to the darkness of TEMPESTA NOIRE. “66° 33’ North” is a medieval product with some modern influences. The Celtic influences are combined with dark soundscapes. After the firework, with menacing tension, of opener ‘The Path’ the next song (‘Book Of Life’) gives the first impression of what to expect from this band. Good written pop/folk songs that are mostly played with old instruments, but that got a typical modern feel to it. Listen to songs like ‘Carcassone’ (although this song is more medieval oriented), the melancholic ‘Rhiannon’ and ‘Junction’.
On the other hand TEMPESTA NOIRE got an even more impressive outlet in dark, moody soundscapes like ‘At Night’ (heavy soundscapes, but in the distance you hear a choir), the combination of samples and violin during ‘Uncertainty’, the singing birds and barking dog during ‘Contemplation’ and the strange sounds during ‘Transformation’.

The quiet ballad ‘Evening Falls’ transports us slowly out of the dark, moody world of TEMPESTA NOIRE.
This album puts them right between the likes of Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio and Goethes Erben. Not the same music, but definitely the same influences.
