How should you name your new band when your previous one disbanded? Finn Zierler`s former band was named Twilight (1 album `Eye For An Eye`) so the new monicker wasn`t hard to choose I guess; Beyond Twilight. Zierler, keyboardplayer and BT mainman travelled around the world and mentally wrote this album for himself. When he returned he began the search for a `dreamband` and Sweden was the place where he found it. With Jörn Lande at the microphonestand he recruited Rock and Metal`s most promising voice from this moment, one thing that becomes very clear from the first song `Hellfire` on. Musically between Black Sabbath and Savatage, Beyond Twilight presents an album of colossal proportions with Finn Zierler and Jörn Lande as the leaders. | |
Lande was involved with Nikolo`s Kotzev`s `Nostradamus` that was released a few months ago and this is an even better display of his humongous talent. `Shadowland` and `The Devil`s Hall Of Fame` are unbelievable songs where Lande reaches the high and low peaks of his voice. This album is a concept album but musically wise each song can easily stand on its` own. The soundscapes Zierler`s keyboardplaying paint are fantastic and original, together with guitarist Anders Ericson a real heavy but very harmonic sound. This band deserves a chance to be put on a live stage soon, I think the world of heavy music will tremble with enjoyment. (Winston) |
