The oppressing ‘Passport To Dark Amour’ says it all. This album is as dark as black Turkish coffee… Front man Alex Novak (ex-Religious Overdose, The Tempest and Attrition) shouts and sings about topics you don’t encounter too often. About themes like eroticism, the pain and pleasure of love, jealousy, paranoia, obsession and passion. The music is a mixture of psychedelic rock and dark wave. The production by Martin Bowes (Attrition) leaves room for electro influences as well. | |
Though it’s definitely not an electro album, the band is supported by some samples on the right moments (like in ‘Vendetta’). Listen to the almost single material (with a nicely repeating guitar riff) of ‘28th March’, the slow depressing ballad ‘Lifeforce’ and the medieval meets psychedelic soundscapes of ‘Decaying Orbit Part 1 + 2’.
It shows – once again – that the dark emotions of one person can create a beautiful music for someone else.
