The cover looks like some traditional painting from South America, the photo inside the booklet shows Western monks fishing and the music is a mixture of world music, folk and pop music in general. Are we tripping here to give this album a review? Well, maybe… The dark elements of this CD however justify this decision.

SUNS OF ARQA is an ever expanding, worldwide group of artists and musicians. The influences range from Western electronic pop to for instance Arabic, Indian and South American music. This CD is a journey around the world. It’s a bit like flying like a bird over all those different countries.

Wings wide open and just glide…

Although most rock/ metal and Gothic people are drawn into a world of Celtic and medieval sounds, this album is an absolute recommendation for people who are into this kind of music, because of the similarities in the somewhat melancholic atmosphere. In fact, the origin of Celtic tradition and music has travelled from the east to the west as well, so…

It’s only a pity those last two funny sounding songs are on the album...
