It’s difficult to create dark electro nowadays that can compete with the likes of Suicide Commando or Hocico. That much is clear by now. The Belgian Geert de Wilde (composed, produced and mastered all tracks) has probably no intention to compete with both bands, but his music is in the same direction. The problem is that Geert almost sings naturally. There’s some distortion on his voice, but it isn’t as convincing and heavy as both named bands.
If we look to his song writing IC 434 has some good songs, but it never really gets to you.

There’s no hook that grabs you really by the throat. Still, if you consider yourself a dark electro fan, IC 434 has something to offer. The catchy song ‘Strangeitudes’, the willful electro during ‘Our Great Nation’, the threatening soundscapes of ‘Someone’s Suicide’, the less powerful Hocico influenced songs ‘Easter Island’ and ‘Approaching The Woods’ show that IC 434 has possibilities.
