DAVANTAGE has realized a very consumable album with “Global Badlands”. All songs are pleasant to hear and create the same atmosphere. From soundscapes to electro, the band never loses control. For some that’s a blessing, for others it’s hell. The songs are well written and performed. Still, if the band had offered more variety, it would probably sounded more convincing. Now it’s a great dance album, but it’s a nice album to end the day with as well.

There are no actual highlights that wake you up when you listen to the songs. One song in particular has all the ingredients of DAVANTAGE, the almost seven and a half minutes long ‘Coldest Place’. Repeating electro beats, a dark voice and a very danceable track (although there are better dance songs on this CD). It’s enjoyable and if you can settle for that, then DAVANTAGE has made the perfect album.
