The Gathering are back with a stunning three-track mini-album to celebrate their 12,5 year anniversary. On this album they are even more experimental than on their last one. On this CD the piano is a much-used instrument, which creates a rather peaceful sound. However, the "old" Gathering-sound can still be heard in Anneke van Giersbergen`s angelic voice and in the guitar sound. The album contains 3 songs, a bonus track that can be heard by rewinding the CD to 2,5 minutes before the first song, and a multi-media CD-rom track with videos and a video-rockumentary. It`s great to finally see their videos as they are hardly ever shown on TV.

This CD has been released by a new label, namely their own: "Psychonaut Records". You can hear that now The Gathering have had the time to perfection the songs and create something to be proud of. I rate this CD 9 out of 10, because The Gathering have succeeded in creating their own sound and experimenting at the same time.
