It’s hard to place this band in a certain music style. As the title already says, this is metal with other, more rocky/poppy influences. For example, the first song, “Twelve Feet Tall”, is quite loud, and reminds me of bands like Sepultura. But in other songs, such as “Arive”, nu-metal influences can be heard in the singing-style of Lars Vognstrup. Also, there is a lot of melody in this CD, which is quite surprising, because a keyboard is hardly ever used. Most of the melodic sounds come from the guitars. When a keyboard is used, as in “Leech”, for example, it makes the songs sound more like gothic-metal.

But even in these songs, Lars’ nu-metal voice can be heard.

Yes, it is hard to label this CD a certain style. But this is good. Even though some songs contain as many as three or four different styles, Raunchy still manage to make it sound as one song. I can certainly recommend this CD if you like any of the styles mentioned above. This CD has a bite for everyone, that’s why I rate it an 8,5.
