This “super band” comes with its second album. Gary Barden (ex-MSG), Bernie Torme (ex- Gillan, Ozzy), Don Airey (ex- Ozzy, Whitesnake, Gary Moore), Michael Voss (Mad Max, Bonfire), and Marco Minnemann (ex- H-Blockx) are all veterans in rock music. This bunch have created a sound with a mix of all their past experiences and luggage, with melody as the key word.
The compositions are OK, as are the individual contributions. | |
Especially Torme’s solos are very tasteful. Because of the long history in song writing, and the co-writership of Andreas Bruhn (Sisters Of Mercy), this smooth and melodic album should reach a big audience. Minor detail: due to the (over)production, and (too much) attention to melody and choirs, the power in some songs gets completely lost. I can imagine this sounding really great live. (Cor) |
