Four times the prove that a good production can help. This Dutch band got some great tunes and songs, but the production is a bit out of date. It`s enough however to realize that these guys can have a bright future. The music, and that`s the most important factor isn`t it, is variable and keeps your attention to the music. `Amnaesiasticism` is a greatly built up song with different moods in it. Quiet/ hard, you know the drill. `Lockjaw` got more power and tempo.
The use of the different voices works well on this song. | |
`Null Chamber` is the obvious ballad and is not the best thing that this band can produce (although the bad production got a greater impact on a quiet song). Last song `Spine` is a bit of a fucked up Primus version. That`s meant in a positive way. Hopefully Brainshake will get the opportunity to improve their music with a better production next time. So record companies, wake up and let`s be counted for. (Ron) |
