Only the band`s name and the CD cover should tell you enough. Need more clues? They are from Germany. This can only mean one thing: so-called "true metal". Riffs that have been recycled a thousand times before so really nothing new. Stormhammer has been around since 1993 but apparently there have been quite a lot of line-up changes, only both guitar players and bassist have been there from the beginning. Latest addition is singer Tommi Lion who used to sing in Drifter. He is the reason why the rating is one point above the absolute minimum. Normally this CD would score higher (say 4 out of 10 thanks to Tommi) but the bio that came with it did not exaggerate (like bios normally do) but was telling plain lies.

"Twelve new compositions"? Composite material they mean, put together pieces of songs from other bands specially Helloween(what a surprise). "…mixed to crunching perfection (…) in-your-face"? Up-your-ass!!! "…Stormhammer`s march to glory (…) towards the leading position on the current national metal scene"??? Not in a thousand years! This kind of music might very well be popular in Germany but Stormhammer will never be leading because to be leading one will have to possess some kind of charisma and originality and be inspiring. To act on today`s sentiments or to jump on the bandwagon won`t bring you much further.
