Way back in the 80`s when US Metal was the next big thing in the metal scene, Jag Panzer released their cult debut "Ample Destruction". Some 17 years and 4 albums later they are still around and better than ever. Last year`s "Thane to the Throne" (with Joey Tafolla) already showed that they are one of the top 10 bands in the genre of true, honest metal. Not the neo-classical stuff, not one of the oh-so-many Helloween wannabes but original metal, leaning heavily on NWOBHM with a light progressive touch (think Fates Warning). And that`s exactly what they give you on "Mechanized Warfare".

Again production took place in the Morrissound Studios with Jim Morris behind the board, a guarantee that the sound is all right. The music is somewhat epic every now and then but that`s just what you would expect from Jag Panzer. You can hear that the musicians have a lot of experience, it tight and easy. Singer Harry "The Tyrant" Konklin doesn`t not sing out of key (anymore) but comes close to it every now and then. This is metal the way it was meant to be and people that are not that fond of "strange influences" will find a save haven in Jag Panzer.
