Since their self-titled debut album from the year 2000, The Berzerker has been an establishment when it comes to extreme grindcore metal. This is the kind of music that you either love or hate, and the latter part will go for an overwhelming majority. But those who aren’t afraid of something new and exciting certainly have to give The Berzerker a try. What could be expected? Blasts at 240 BPM from the (in)famous TR909 aren’t everybody’s cup of tea.

The sheer power that is released on their latest effort Dissimulate will be too hard to handle for the not-so-fainthearted. Even at moderate volumes you are totally blocked out of your environment, deafened and numbed by a shrapnel of noise. Playing it in your car stereo is therefore not advised. I would certainly recommend this album to everybody who needs his head cleaned.
