16 tracks - playing time: 78:28 min.
Matrix Cube
Rating: 8.5/10

Matrix Cube decided to put some of their Electro Club Hits together on one album and the end result is f**king amazing. If you put this album in your CD player then you get 78 minutes of dance floor pleasure. Your Cybergothic evening would be a huge success and everyone would be stunned about your DJ qualities…

It’s easy to say that you can`t give a compilation CD any rating, but it’s definitely an art to put the right bands and numbers together. Highlights are the dark electro songs from Siechtum (‘Meinungsindustrie’), God Module (‘Sight’, with their hysterical mixed laughter), V2A (cyberpunk with house influences and screaming, distorted female voices during ‘Retribution’), Die Form (‘Savage Logic’ remix), Flesh Field (‘The Truth Within’, a bombastic mixture between dark electro and ambient), The Dust Of Basement (with their more darkwave oriented ‘Outside’), Hexedene (the invention of dark house with piano, violin and ‘fairytale’ female vocals), Calan.

dra (with their melancholic dreamlike ‘Where Did You Go?’) and the electro pop of Perfidious Words (‘Visionary’). That bands like Skoyz (‘Back Ice’), Cenobita (‘Aliens’), Schattenslag (“Unsterbliche Gier’), Lost Signal (‘Regret’), L’Ame Immortelle (‘Gefallen’), Infekktion (‘Tanz Der Dunkelheit’) and Yendri (‘Suck My Life Out’) aren’t mentioned in the names above doesn`t mean that these songs are bad. Absolutely not, but the highlights are just that bit more special. They make the difference between an 8 or an 8.5…
