Well, what have we here? German outfit Stahlhammer plays a brand of heavy, but polished tight sounding industrial metal with German vocals. Does that ring a bell? Indeed, a lot of parallels can be drawn here with fellow countrymen Rammstein. The 12 songs (and one video-track) that make up Eisenherz will appeal to the craving fan of the aforementioned band or Oomph!. Stahlhammer does add some different flavors to their musical bratwürst, like the funky undertone in “Marilyn” and the doomy edge in “Süsseslied.

” Besides this, expect lyrics about war, death and religion. There’s even one song here, that’s sung in English. Because of a poor articulation and a strong accent, it’s quite bad, actaully. In the end, this all tastes too much like sauerkraut for me. That leaves a decently produced record, that doesn’t stand out from anything else that’s out there already.
