About how things can go in life: Jason Bonham got tired of playing Led Zeppelin with the Jason Bonham Band. Doug Henthorn (vocals), Eric Saylors (guitar), and Chaz Winzenbread used to open the shows with their band. After joining some rehearsals, Jason ended up joining his former support act.
The first goal was to produce a timeless album. Even Storm Thorgerson (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Alan Parsons) got involved for the cover art. The album itself is a solid rock album with a (very good) mix of Soundgarden, Masters Of Reality, Pearl Jam, and still some Led Zeppelin. | |
A stable choice of something for everyone, from the laid back pearl “End Of Conversations”, to the driving, heavy, and energetic “Slag Pit”. Despite the wide variety, good production, and the individual skills of the band members, it lacks real hit singles. This is due to the unconventional arrangements and vocal-lines, which are sometimes on, or even, over the edge. Then again, if one of the songs can reach the charts, they all can.
