This compilation has been put together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Belgian radio show Overdrive and to promote Belgian metal as well. A very sympathetic initiative. The musical styles vary from True Metal to Hardcore-Metal, from old fashioned melodic Heavy Metal to earth shattering Death Metal and everything in between. Although these are all unsigned bands the average standard is pretty high. If this album is sent to the right people I wouldn’t be surprised to hear from some of the bands again. All bands were given only one day of studio time to record a song especially for this compilation.

The production is up to scratch nonetheless. Producer Tony De Block has done a wonderful job. Radio shows, A&R managers and booking agencies better get in contact with Overdrive to get a copy. Metalheads who are looking for an overview of the Belgian metal scene or just a good compilation of underground metal as well, mind you. For only 10 euro or 10 US dollar it’s yours.
