Since the grunge became very popular, a lot of underground bands like Mud Honey, finally got the credits for being a source of inspiration. Nowadays with bands like the Hellacopters selling lots of records, other less polished bands try to get their share. Once in a while it comes in handy to get an overview of these bands with their traditional 70’s riffs in a punky rock version with sometimes some experimental side steps.

This CD is giving an impression of the latest work of 22 bands in the “New Rock ‘n Roll scene”. Some straightforward 70’s based punk rock, garage rock, and experiments with electronics (especially with the vocals). Even a “New Rock ’n Roll” version of AC/DC (The D4) and Chuck Berry meets Blondie (The Parkinsons).
