A bit unusual, this release from the boys from Millencollin. This MCD contains the single ‘Man or Mouse’, from the Swedes’ latest album, ‘Home From Home’, with two previously unreleased bonus tracks; and the videos they shot for ‘Mouse Or Man’ and their previous single, ‘Kemp’. Unfortunately, I don’t know the album so I can’t say too much about that, but the songs sound quite all right. The band has evolved and matured a lot since their earlier albums like ‘Life On A Plate’ and ‘For Monkeys’, and have traded in the West Coast skate-style for a more Social Distortion type of thing.

The new songs are still punky and melodic, but have lost a lot of the energy and humour of the older albums, which I liked better. The video for ‘Mouse Or Man’ looks a lot like Blur’s ‘Song 2’, except for the flying shit. The video for ‘Kemp’ is a cool animation-video with robots rocking out. I have never actually seen punk rock CD-singles for sale, so I’d be surprised if I found this puppy in a record store, but if you’re a big Millencollin fan and want to take a look at the videos on your computer, be my guest and check your local suppliers.
