Object is Andreas ‘The Spectre’ Malik. The music on The Reflecting Skin is dark electro we know so well by now. The problem is that the music isn’t as attracting as other dark electro. It doesn’t say a thing that Object don’t use any software synth or software-sequencer. The music sounds pretty accessible and that’s not what you want from a dark electro band.

The monotone voice is supported by almost as monotone music. The lack of tension and surprise create a predictable album. It never irritates you, but it never grows on you either. During “Defiance” Object try to surprise you with some easier soundscape sounds, but even at that point the band steps out of the average. Probably ‘food’ for the blind…
