The combination of electronics and guitar should appeal to industrial lovers. Unfortunately, though THE FAIR SEX got some nice tunes on this record, they got at least as much lesser stuff on it as well. The almost tribal drum rhythm during ‘Cold Heat Enclosed In Stone’ sounds promising, but just doesn’t have the real spark that’s needed.
One of the best songs is ‘The Far Side (Retrofuture)’, in which the band has some single material. The song got a nice beat and sounds pretty accessible. Just a shame it is a bit too long. The ballad ‘Sun Mistress’ got some nice dragging electronic sounds, but you will notice that the vocals of THE FAIR SEX aren’t their strongest point.

‘Failed Desaster’ has the same potential as ‘The Far Side’. Best song is probably ‘The Palace Of The Bad Future’. In this song the mixture of up tempo electronic beats, guitar and the sinister voice is at its best. Another good song worth mentioning is ‘Lost Trace (Extended Misplaced)’. If you listen to these songs you have to admit that THE FAIR SEX definitely got some potential. So, listen for yourself…
