Demon is one of the most underrated bands in Metal. I have to admit that the fantastic `Taking The World By Storm` (1989) was my first encounter and that was the bands` 7th album already...Last year at Wacken Open Air the performance of Demon stole my heart and the prospect of them recording again afer years of absence made me hopeful.

`Spaced Out Monkey` is the title of that album that is released almost exactly one year later and all my hopes are fulfilled; Demon is back, and how! The Sabbathian heavyness of the guitars, the Demonesque melodies led by singer Dave Hill and subtle keyboardsounds, it`s all there and more. The guys really worked hard to make this a proper comeback album and they have succeeded big time; from `Never Saw It Coming` to `Let Me Out Of Here` the `Demonic journey` takes you to the lyrical landscape of politics, emotional ballads and some modern ifluences as well.

(title track has a Rap feeling for instance).

To celebrate to return of Demon their new record label Record Heaven Music (www.rhcd.net) have re-released the first 3 albums; `Night Of The Demon`, `The Unexpected Guest` and `The Plague`, and on these records you can hear what Demon was about in the 80`s. Songs as `Don`t Break The Circle`, `Sign Of A Madman` and `Night Of The Demon` are pure and heavy singalong anthems. The albums are all remastered as well and the sound is a fresh as if they were recorded yesterday. Demon is a true band without having to use swords, dragons or other props, the music carries emotion and talent. I for one hope that `Taking The World By Storm` will be re-released too, it still is my `Demonic` favorite...
