After having heard the CD, I was very curious what seeing the DVD would do to me. Just hearing the music always draws a lot of attention to (the very small) technical mistakes. Nevertheless I was already convinced that the audience present at this gig had had the time of their life. And of course, playing from the heart is more important live than playing technically perfect. Experiencing a concert by also seeing the musicians putting everything into the music, can disguise imperfections. This is what happens on this DVD. Starting with some beautiful instrumental pearls by Mr Roth, who is with his head in the clouds, and his heart talking to earth below through his guitar. This is visually supported by very tasteful images.

Then the first “guests” arrive on stage; Michael Schenker, Phil Mogg, and Pete Way, let the good old UFO days relive. An old fashioned concert registration, without video clip effects, showing Way running round the stage, and Mogg feeling like he’s still at the start of a successful rock and roll career. A ZZ top look-alike Schenker slowly warming up, but getting more and more into it with his twin guitar work and duelling with Roth. Then another godfather of Rock, Jack Bruce, joins Roth for some Cream and Hendrix classics. This is followed by a Grande Finale jam. The passion and conviction must catch every good old rocker. Seeing and hearing these giants in an overwhelming live gig sure got me.
