“I Hate You All” are the opening words of this album. The vocals immediately remind of Pantera; it’s the same kind of aggressive scream. The riffs are different though. Raging Speedhorn might be metal in sound and attitude, most of the riffs are huge rock riffs inspired by bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Sometimes combined with (hardcore) punk influences or modern down-tuned riff monsters like Iron Monkey and aforementioned Pantera. For this record the band worked with Danny Schuler and Billy Graziadel (both Biohazard) and the production was done by Joe Baresi (Queens Of The Stone Age, Fu Manchu).

So far, this review has had some considerable name-dropping and all these names have one thing in common: The Riff. And that’s what Raging Speedhorn is about. It’s aggressive, the sound is big, the vocals are good (a little more variety would be welcome though), the band play tight but it’s all about the riffs… and they kick ass.
