This DVD is a must for Mr. Pell’s true fans. In addition to a compilation of one of his cozy performances, these two discs include a lot of extras. No spectacular light shows or huge stages, but a friendly atmosphere and a nice selection of live-performed songs from this German guitarist’s large repertoire. The live show was recorded at The Zeche, Bochum, in home country Germany, May 5th, 2002. The sound is pretty good, and seeing the musicians this enthusiastic makes up for the sometimes out-of-tune vocals and guitars.

At times the background vocals of the “Pell Princesses” are an attack on one’s ears, but the convincing front man and singer Johnny Gioeli manages to hide many of the vocal flaws. Also Mr. Pell’s “I am still eighteen”-attitude is disarming. The selected songs form a well-balanced mix of beautiful ballads and straightforward, average rock songs. Besides the concert, this DVD contains several video clips, an interview, the making of a video-clip, a behind-the-scenes section, and some fan-related stuff.
