Hailing from Sweden but signed to the France-based label Water Dragon Records, Sparzanza are ready to conquer the world. The best description of their music would probably be Rock ‘n’ Stoner or Stonerroll. ‘AC/DC meets Monster Magnet and Entombed in an old fashioned stockcar race’ is a more graphic way to describe them. Exceptional riffing and well-written songs combined with a heavy-but-not-overdone sound make this record a rock treat. Singer Fredrik Weileby is on the edge though.

His voice sometimes sounds a little forced or artificial. But most of the time he sounds like the right man on the right place. The album is, within the boundaries of the genre, pretty varied. Stomping rock, dreamy ballad, grooving stoner; you name it and it’s there. And though most of their influences are American, they have that distinctive feel, a positive and powerful vibe, that’s so characteristic to (Northern) European rock.
