Over 76 minutes of high quality stoner rock. Reviews don’t have to be long at all! But let me tell you a little more anyway: Water Dragon Records is a relatively small and new label that focuses on stoner rock. This is their first compilation and I must say I’m impressed. Grand Magus is probably the best known band on this album but the rest are at least their equals. I’m not going to review all the bands separately because they each have two songs so it’s hard to judge them. The record shows what the label is about and can help you choose from their already impressive catalogue.

Let me tell you; there’s a lot to choose from. The other bands on this record are: Mauerfahr, Mr Plow, Carn, Fluid4, Missed Her Bliss, Honcho and Ogre. They vary from seventies-influenced rock to doomy stoner. Some emphasize the groove, others aim for sheer heaviness but all of them know the power of the Riff.
