I received an envelope filled with Anthrax today...
I always wanted to make that joke. I could not be happier with an Anthrax envelope either, for (as you guessed) it contained not the notorious death threat but the new album, “We’ve Come For You All”. What can I say about Anthrax that you don’t already know? Seems a bit tricky I guess. I’ll stick to my own opinion. And that is an easy one: I like this new album. It has been quite a while since I last heard a simple no nonsense metal act obviously, because hearing this album was a refreshing experience. Loud as ever, but no tricky shit whatsoever, just metal as metal should be. | |
I love it.
Although the worst song is actually (the beginning of) track number two, which is off-putting if you’re just scanning for good tunes and have to sit through this track. That is about the only real downside I can come up with. Luckily, this remark only counts for the intro, and as soon as the song starts to really get on the way, there is nothing stopping the album from powering on to the end, like a, well, some cliché kind of transport related to much mass, power and speed. Freight train, you name it, whatever. Don’t care, just listen. (Vincent) |
