Pure energy, released through screaming guitars, a stumping foundation, and a powerful voice. Foo Fighters, Hellacopters, and MC5 influences combined in raw, yet melodic songs. Some grunge-like songs, but mostly honest heavy rock and roll in the best tradition, and a laid back ballad-like song (“Understand”).

Also a heavy folk interpretation, and a fabulous last song “Sister”, which is certainly worth mentioning because the terrific swing within all the heaviness, and great guitar performance.

Although this album must have had some overdubs, with all those guitar layers, they have succeeded to keep a direct sound, without any overproduction. Guess it’s that directness that can catch people like me.
