Another release from Middle Class Pig. Swiss trio Zorro bring us rock and roll. Think of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club but a lot more boring. Singer Markus Gisin is resposible for that. His voice just doesn’t seem to get alive. He kinda sounds like Mike Muir with a cold, you know in the calmer Suicidal songs (mind you this is the only Suicidal link I can make). Just listen to the song ‘Princess’. It puts a blanket of bore over the songs on this mini-album. On top of that we have the song material which is, well, not bad, but nothing more than that.

Its just not exiting enough, and come on, if this is rock and roll then where is the adrenaline? The band is going to record a full length with Jack Endino later this year. A smart decision because what this band needs is someone who puts a stick of dynamite up their ass, lights it and records the explosion that follows. And then everything will turn out all right for Zorro after all.
