The German heavy metal legends Sinner are back with a new album; typical no-nonsense and straight to the point heavy metal that seems to come right from the eighties. The production is extremely heavy with the guitars roaring in the front while front man Mat Sinner’s raw vocals only add to the pure heavy metal feeling of this album The songs on this album are all compact and powerful and Sinner don’t offer the listener much breathing space as they pound through the 11 tracks. The level of repetition within each song is extremely high and although it makes the songs more recognizable, it also makes them more predictable.

"There Will Be Execution" is a decent heavy metal album that is played in the traditional way but doesn’t have much new to offer. True, the guitar riffs are of a high standard and so are the melodies in general but it is all too predictable. If you dig classic heavy metal then "There Will Be Execution" won’t led you down. It is heavy, in your face and well played metal from a very experience band that has been around for over 20 years and, more importantly, from a band that has stayed true to their beliefs.
