While listening to this record I get the feeling that these stoner rockers from New York are capable of making a better record than this. It just isn’t ‘there’, if you know what I mean. The sound is ok, but the bass is a little too much up front. The songs are ok, but a bit predictable. The band can play very well, but it just isn’t tight enough. Guitarist/singer Kenny Sehgal has a good voice, especially for the dreamy parts, but needs just a tad more confidence.

It‘s all small details, but together they makes the record score a 6.5, while I think they could easily score an 8.0. It sounds like they aim a little too high, like they took too little time for this recording. If they had chosen to record just a couple of songs instead of a whole album it would have been better. Now they sound very promising and I’m really curious to see them play live. I think they might surprise me. The record is for true stoner heads only.
