My Last Prayer is the title of the debut album from one more Finnish metal band: Downfall. Main references on this album are Sentenced and HIM. If you don’t mind the fact that the music on this album isn’t very original, My Last Prayer is definitely an album you should check out. Both the sound and production of the album are very good and there is basically nothing wrong with the compositions.

The reason why this just isn’t enough for a higher rating is quite simple. Downfall relies too much on the success of Sentenced and HIM. Nevertheless one must admit that these guys know how to make good music. My Last Prayer is a missed opportunity since it seems to me Downfall doesn’t need to rely on any references. The band members are clearly well skilled but miss originality.
