In these times of success for bands like System Of A Down, another product in the same line, like so many nowadays. It’s no shame to go with the commercial flow, yet it has to be above the average of the countless bands. Hollowhead got some pretty catchy arrangements, enough variety in power (anger) and melody, and capable musicians. The vocals are limited, and singer Janne Nasstrom is overdoing it here and there. Both his grunts and melodic vocal lines aren`t up to scratch now and then.

Sometimes his voice reminds me of the Misfits, and this type of vocals do not always fit into this type of music. With lots of echo (“Sexual Entertainment”) it sounds a lot better. This being the fifth CD in three years makes you wonder what’s more important: quality or quantity? Why didn’t they take a little more time for production, because compared with a lot of bands in the genre this one sounds like a demo recording done in two days.
