After a short intro the first track comes raging through my speakers. I like this stuff, that’s my first thought upon listening this album. And I sure like it, the songs sound as if there is a really well-oiled band playing, and according to the bio there is. Various tours are mentioned with some big names in the metal-scene (Immolation, Morbid Angel, The Haunted, Napalm Death to name but a few). I had never heard of this band, so for me this is a fresh start. They have already produced three albums, and also that can be heard. Soul Demise are from Germany, and produce some typical thrash/death-Gothenburg songs which sound real good, but are not very original.

Sound is good, musicianship is good, so overall it is a good release, and they probably have listened very good to genre-leaders At The Gates, but their songmaterial is not too much one-of-a-kind to speak of a really good release. It is good, and I will surely listen to this album more than once, but it is just not that special. Lovers of this genre can better spend their bucks on the debut-album of Detonation, which I think is much better! But for the people who do not know what to do with their money this is a fairly enjoyable record. Very cool Giger-inspired artwork though!
