I am going to be really short about this one. Macbeth is yet another one-of-those gothic/opera bands that only Italy and Germany seem to have their patent on. Fair enough, Macbeth hails from Italy, consists of no less than 7 members and still manage to make their music suck. In 11 songs, with titles as "Lady Lily White", "Pure Treasure" or "Romanzo Nero" they manage not only to create cliche music but also give their songs cheesy names. While the (male and female) vocals range between a badly mixed-in black metal voice, rock vocals and standard female vocals the music in the back is a rehearsal of what this scene has already fed us in, let`s say, the last 10 years.

Vanitas is only for the real true gothic believer who gets his/her kicks from a bad mix between Lacuna Coil and Haggard, or for the sleeve collector who wants to add the ugliest album cover of the year to his collection.
